Unmeasurability, or, the possibility of an immaterial object of design
Often, choreographing the perception of space in the service of engineering experience can be more essential than the constitution of the material reality itself. An installation for the RISD School of Architecture gallery explores this idea in the form of twelve reflective boxes that contain varying spatial grids. Each in this series of encased models is viewed through one of several specific windows which provide privileged views. The reflected, infinitely extended space within may be seen by the eye, or through the lens of a digital camera.
